Anthony David Gonzalez was a tight end from American football who played for the National Football League. He was a 17-year veteran in the field. Considered one of America's best tight ends of all time, he holds the NFL record for having the highest number of receiving yards for all tight ends. Gonzalez is also ranked as the third-highest player in terms of number of receiving yards.
Tony Gonzalez is currently a FOX studio analyst for the studio. Gonzalez has appeared in FOX NFL KICKOFF (FOX's hour-long NFL pregame broadcast prior to FOX NFL the SUNRISE) and is broadcast every Sunday at 11:00AM ET during the NFL season.
Gonzalez was signed to a contract with Atlanta Falcons to run for two seasons and $11 million on March 15 2013. This was despite having stated that Gonzalez was claiming he would like to retire at the end of 2012 NFL football season. Randy Moss retiring, Gonzalez's 37th season was the last as NFL the leading reciever in the NFL.
